signum.SigiNino

Broadcast Production System and video server

The already well proven Playout Server signum.SigiNino is now extended by a large number of new features. It supports SD-format (16:9 and 4:3) as well as HD-formats (720p, 1080i and optionally 1080p). A flexible switch from one video-format to a different one is possible on the fly during operation. Additionally there is an automatic conversion of images to any format for broadcast. Images of various formats and videos of different formats and resolutions may be put in any sequence. signum.SigiNino offers a powerful system for small applications targeting solutions with small initial budgets.

Via a GB Ethernet based network all standard PCs and newsroom systems e. g. SigiStudio.CMS, which are already available and in use can connect to the signum.SigiNino, thus enabling full file-based preparation and playout of media like stills, clips and sequences. All systems, which are used for automated broadcast, can be connected to the same network to simplify setup and communication for both production and postproduction. Each output channel has an integrated linear mixing module. The Mix/Wipe module enables all fading effects as well as key functions between images, videos and live channels.

Via an integrated audio support it is possible to fade over also audio without having the need of an external audio-mixer.

GPI-modes, fully automated rundown lists and communication interfaces like MOS-Server or device driver for various newsroom systems (Open Media, INEWS, etc.) are supported as well.
